10 inch Green Earth Pan by Ozeri Review!

Green Earth Pan by Ozeri Collage

Hello! Beauties! Today on Beth and Beauty I am going to share with you my review of a pan that I received from Ozeri for review. I know this is something totally different for me to do, but I believe part of your beauty starts with what you put in her body. This pan that I am talking about is the 10″ Green Earth Pan. I tested this pan out for my review by making my marinated chicken fajitas.  In the above picture you can see how well browned my chicken was along with a picture of my onions and peppers.  I did the onions & peppers in this pan right after I finished with chicken. NOTHING!  Sticked to this pan at all! I will be honest when I was notified I was being sent this pan, I thought it was one of those little $10 green skillets you see at Walmart in the “As seen on TV” section. By that, I mean a real light weight pan. I was so wrong, this pan is a well made hefty pan. I will share with you my Amazon affiliate link below so you can go check out my now most used pan!  There you can get even closer views of the honeycomb non-stick pan bottom along with other close up images of this pan. First I am going to share some of the description of this pan on the Amazon website:

Utilizing GREBLON — an ultra-safe ceramic coating from Germany, the Green Earth Pan by Ozeri is one of the world’s first frying pans to achieve non-stick perfection while remaining absolutely free of PTFE, PFOA and other harmful chemicals.  At very high temperatures, PTFE begins to decompose and release fumes which are documented to be lethal to birds and small pets, and which can be harmful to humans. In addition, traditional pans incorporating PTFE are often manufactured with the aid of PFOA (PerFluoroOctanoic Acid), which the EPA has classified as a ‘persistent pollutant of the environment’. With the Green Earth Pan’s GREBLON ceramic from Germany, even under high temperatures, no harmful toxic fumes are ever released into the environment. This is because the Green Earth Pan utilizes a 100% ceramic coating inspired by nature – not a laboratory. The Green Earth Pan’s ceramic coating is far more durable and scratch-resistant than other non-stick surfaces. With better non-stick properties, the Green Earth Pan allows you to saute, fry, bake, boil and braise with as little as half the amount of oil normally used, and cleaning is a breeze. The Green Earth Pan by Ozeri is made of the highest quality die-cast aluminum that allows for even cooking and fantastic browning without hot spots. It boasts a magnetized bottom for rapid heat transfer on induction stoves, and a heat resistant silicone coated handle. This version of the Green Earth Pan features a textured ceramic cooking surface. The elevations of the textured cooking surface create air pockets which distribute heat underneath food to enhance cooking performance. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.

Like I said above I was surprised of this pans quality and was excited to try this baby out. I knew if this pan could make my sticky marinated chicken fajitas along with the onions and peppers without sticking, while still having the chicken be golden brown and the onions & peppers not burned, that this pan was going to be as good as it looked and felt. I followed the directions closely that came with the pan. Before I used this pan for the first time, I seasoned the pan by adding 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil and rubbed the oil with my fingers evenly into the surface of the pan and used a paper towel to wipe away the excess oil, as the seasoning is only needed at the microscopic level. Non-stick sprays are not recommended for this pan. I know , I was skeptical at first too! Now, I know you do not need any non-stick spray when using this pan. You do need to follow their instructions for the pan so a oil residue does not build up and cause food to stick. Now this next part, I was like What???? When you cook with this pan you want to use no higher than medium heat, this is because this pan is a better conductor of heat than traditional pans, and causes food to cook faster. Using a high heat source or excess preheating can cause the food to burn. Prolonged use under high heat conditions can accelerate the gradual decline of the pan’s non-stick properties. You also need to make sure you use the right size of burner for pan or if you have a gas stove do not turn burner up so high that the flames burn along the sides of the pan. You can also use this pan in the oven up to 356 degrees. As you can tell, I am loving this pan. Only con that I can think of is that it doesn’t come with the lid. You can purchase it separately for $14 and it is made of tempered glass. The lid also features a steam release vent.

I found when I went to Amazon.com that this pan sales for $29.66. I believe it is worth every penny. I did find, while on Amazon, that you can get a 3 pan set of these pans which includes a 8″ 10″ and 12″ pan for $79.95. I want to make sure you know that this is not a sponsored article. By that, I mean I am not getting paid anything to review this product by Ozeri nor do I get any money from them if you purchase their pan(s). I hope you know by now that you can trust me. I am not going to give something a good review just because they sent me the product.  For your convenience I will share with you my Amazon affiliate link so you can just go check out the product for yourself.

Beth and Beauty’s Kat Von D Chrysalis Purple Eye Look/Tutorial

Kat Von D Chrysalis Final Eye Look

Hello! Fellow beauty enthusiasts! I had asked you on my May 9th article, Beth and Beauty Wants/Needs Your Opinion, which eye look/tutorial you wanted me to do. The choices you had to choose from was from two of my newest palettes, the Urban Decay Naked and the Kat Von D Chrysalis palettes. I want to thank everyone for taking the time and voting. Well it is obvious which one won by the title of this post, but the Kat Von D Chrysalis won by a landslide. So pictured above is the eye look I came up with.  I am new at doing these kind of posts so I hope you will leave any tips (nice) in my comments, they will be much appreciated. Lets get this look/tutorial started.

Kat Von D Chrysalis Purple EOTD Swatches

  1. With finger applied MAC Painterly on eyelids all the way up to brow and under eye for my primer. (helps hide veins etc., plus helps eye shadows not to crease and last longer)
  2. With fluffy eye shadow blending brush I  applied the color Glasswing (pictured above) using windshield wiper motions in the crease and a little above crease for my transition color.
  3. With finger applied Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadow base in Painted Purple on moving part of eyelid.
  4. With small flat eye shadow brush I applied the color Transition (pictured above) onto my inner half of  moving eyelid.
  5. With same flat eye shadow brush but flipped over I applied the color Messanine (pictured above) onto my the outer half of moving eyelid.
  6. Used clean fluffy brush without any eyeshadow on it and just lightly blended in middle of moving eyelid to make sure there was a smooth transition of the lighter and darker purple shades.
  7. With  medium size pencil brush I applied the color Hybrid Moments (pictured above) onto the outer crease and blended it about halfway over into the crease.
  8. With  small size pencil brush I applied the same color but more precise in the outer crease and outer eye lid making my outer vertical “V”.
  9. With slanted eye shadow/brow brush I applied the color Glasswing under the lower lash line all the way accross.
  10. With same slanted brush I applied the Hybrid Moments under the lower lash line right below the color Glasswing.
  11. With eye liner brush using MAC  Fluidline gel eyeliner in the color Black Track I applied my upper eyeliner line with a little flick at the end.
  12. With same eye liner brush using the same MAC gel eyeliner I tightlined by upper waterline and my lower waterline.
  13. With Mary Kay’s Lash Love mascara in black I applied two coats of mascara on both upper and lower lashes.
