MAC “Vs.” Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Cloths! Who wins?

MAC Vs. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cloths

Hi! My fellow Beauties! Today is not only Thrifty Thursday on Beth and Beauty but  I also am going to do a comparison review of what I believe to be the top high-end and top drugstore make-up remover cloths/wipes. First, I am going to tell you how I, myself, use make-up wipes. I only use them as a part of my make-up removal routine. I do not rely on  just these to remove my makeup. After I have removed my eye makeup, I first apply my Lush’s Make-up Remover Cleansing Lotion all over my face and then use the make-up cloth/wipe to wipe off all the makeup that I can see. I then use my Clarisonic Mia 2 with a cream cleanser. For this comparison article test, I did not use an eye make-up remover. I applied the Lush Make-Up Remover Cleansing Lotion and then on the right side of my face I used the Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Cloth. On the left side I used the MAC Make-Up Remover Cloth. I then used my Clarisonic Mia 2 and this is where I can really tell how well the make-up remover cloth works by how much more make-up (if any) I have come off onto my Clarisonic’s brush head. I am going to start by telling you what MAC’s website says about their make-up remover cloths:

Swipes away makeup, smudges, dirt and grime, pronto! Ovesized, luxurious, super-saturated with special MAC cleanser infused with protective vitamin E. Hydrates and nourishes highly efficiently. Extremely refreshing. Totally addictive. Slickly packed, re-sealable, ready to go!

Now for what Neutrogena’s website says about theirs:

Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes effectively dissolve all traces of dirt, oil and makeup—even waterproof mascara—for clean, fresh skin in one easy step. These gentle, ultra soft cloths contain superior cleansing technology so effective it removes even waterproof mascara. With one step, it leaves skin thoroughly clean with no heavy residue, so there’s no need to rinse. And it’s gentle enough to use around the sensitive eye area, even for contact lens wearers.Make your skin make-up free the easy way.

Now I am going to show the actual make-up cleansing cloths/wipes that I used for this test/comparison. I can tell you thatMAC Vs. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cloths - After Use the Neutrogena one did remove the same amount of makeup and as easily as the MAC ones except for the eye makeup(eye liner). I did end up having to use an eye make-up remover to get it all off. Where I did not have to do this on the MAC side, I thought, until I woke up this morning and I did have some black under my left eye where I had only used the MAC cloth. I also found that either one of them bothered my eyes at all. They both seemed to have the same amount of cleanser on cloth. I did find that the Neutrogena one was actually a little larger than the MAC one. Now for my final thoughts, I loved both of these make-up remover cleansing cloths. I will probably be repurchasing the Neutrogena full size (value-bundle) when I run out of this travel size of the Neutrogena ones and my MAC ones. My reasoning for this decision is that since I don’t really rely on this cleansing cloth to fully remove my make-up but only to assist in removing it, I can not justify in spending the extra money on the MAC ones. I can’t tell you that I will never purchase the MAC ones, since I love my MAC products, but I can tell you if I do, I will be purchasing the 100 sheets for $29. That is the best deal when you are using the MAC cloths/wipes.

I hope I have helped you see the differences and the similarities in these two great make-up cleansing cloths/wipes. Please also feel free to leave any tips, suggestions or questions in my comment section.
