Real Techniques “your eyes/enhanced starter kit”

RTeyestarterkit2Hi! Beauties! I would like to tell you about an eye brush set I have found in the “drug store” arena. I found this set at my local Ulta store, the brand name is Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman. If you are not familiar with who Samantha Chapman is, she is a Pro Makeup Artist + Beauty Blogger from the UK. For step-by-step tutorials on how to use these brushes or any of her other ones you can go to www.realtechniques.com.

The set I am talking about today is called the “your eyes/enhanced starter kit”. The brushes come in a 2-in-1 case + stand. The set includes from left to right: Deluxe Crease Brush, Base Shadow Brush, Accent Brush, Pixel-Point Eyeliner Brush, Brow Brush.  I am finding I really like this brush set. I don’t use the case/stand  for them unless I am traveling, which I have found that it does make a nice travel case and  has room for additional brushes. The first one called the Deluxe Crease Brush is a soft brush that really helps me with my blending, which is very important to any eye look and I can use all the help with this technique I can get, just saying…. I have found this is one of the areas I have not been doing very well all these years. I have also found that we are never be too old to learn something new. The next brush is the Base Shadow Brush. This brush seems to apply a smooth, flawless foundation of color all over the eye.  The Accent Brush is designed for precision detailing, spotlighting, highlighting and smudging. I really like this brush since I have small eye lids to apply my outer “v” contour and also applying color on my lower lash line. The Pixel-Point Eyeliner Brush has a tapered cut that makes for an easy application of a gel eyeliner. The last brush in this kit is the Brow Brush and it is a great brush to define your eyebrows. I have found that this kit is a great and a less-expensive starter eye brush kit for anyone to use. Would I repurchase? Yes!

When I picked up the eye brush kit, I could not pass up this Real Techniques Lash-Brow Groomer. It was a separate purchase but I took the picture in the case to show you it fits easily in the eye brush set case. I found this Lash-Brow Groomer to be different from all the ones I have seen due to the lash part is made of metal so it really helps separate your lashes if while applying your mascara you find your lashes clumping together. I am really enjoying having this addition to my brush collection.
