Hi! Beauties! Today I am going to share with you my review of the Hamsa Perfume by Celine Leora. They were kind enough to send me a couple of samples to try. I have wore these samples and I have to say I have enjoyed them very much. I have very bad allergies so I can’t wear a lot of perfumes due to them making me sneeze, my eyes water and making me have a runny nose. I can honestly say this perfume did not do this to me. Let me share some information about this perfume, the Hamsa symbol and the designer.

Celine Leora created this exquisite fragrance and beautiful bottle as a dedication to her mother, as a child growing up in Morocco, she remembered the fragrance that her mother always wore and the love and guidance she gave to Celine through good times and bad. The Hamsa was always with them and it always protected them. These are the exact words that Celine Leora has on her website and the packaging on my sample.

On their website it states that the Hamsa is an age old mystical symbol that is said to bring good luck and fortune. Hamsa is also a popular symbol that represents tolerance, peace and unity. Designer Celine Leora has combined notes of White Lotus, Frankincense, Black Currant and Coffee, creating a fragrance that represents Eastern, Western, and Middle Eastern culture. The fragrance is packaged in a beautiful bottle adorned with the powerful and ancient symbol of the Hamsa. The combination of the healing powers of the essential oils and the good fortune from the Hamsa symbol make Hamsa Perfume more than just another fragrance.

I really this statement above that is also found on their website about the Hamsa Perfume. Let me go over what oils and what these oils are claimed to do that goes into making this perfume:

White Lotus:

The fragrance of the lotus flowers essence is seen as a spiritual elixir. It helps in meditation by calming the mind; promoting peace, serenity and improving concentration. Additionally, lotus flower essence can hasten recovery from illness.

Frankincense:

The fragrance of Frankincense is known to increase spiritual awareness, promote meditation, and boost mood.

Black Currant:

The fragrance of Black Currant inspires heightened sensuality. It can enhance physical awareness by increasing sensitivity of the senses.

Coffee:

The fragrance of coffee has a calming effect while at the same time it stirs activity in the brain. Coffee aromas can work to help reduce depressive symptoms.

I can not vouch that these oils does all that they claim to do, but it sure sounds good doesn’t it. Even though they did send me these two small samples, which is like the little samples you would get when you go to places like Macy’s,  Sephora etc. and ask for a sample of a fragrance. This is my own honest opinion. I can tell you the perfume smells sweet and fresh but it is not so sweet that it overwhelms your senses. I did find I had to reapply throughout the day, which I do with any perfume. Like I mentioned above I have bad allergies so I can not wear or even smell a lot of perfumes without it aggravating my allergies. This perfume did not do that to me. The cost of the 3.4 fl oz bottle is $65. This is a large bottle of perfume when I compared it to my 3.4 oz bottle of Juicy Couture Perfume, so not a bad price. This perfume is definitely going on my wish list. I do wish they would make it in a smaller bottle because due to my allergies I don’t wear perfume everyday so I prefer smaller bottles of perfume. I did see on their website they also sell candles with this scent, so I may also look into purchasing one of them.

Hi! Beauties! Today I thought I would share with you what I am now carrying in my makeup bag. This is the makeup bag that stays in my purse. Last Thursday we had the pleasure of meeting two of our nieces in Tyler, TX. While spending the day with them I found that my makeup bag was really lacking. So after I made a list and created my new purse makeup bag I decided I would share the contents with you.  I am depending on your input to let me know if I have forgotten anything.

Let’s start with the beauty/health tools I decided I needed to carry in it.

• Travel size makeup remover wipes (I also have a travel package of tissues that I carry in my purse)
• Band-aids
• Benadryl – I carry this at all times along with an EPI pen due to my weird allergies (long story)
• G-U-M Soft Picks for my teeth
• Pointed tipped Q-Tips
• Emery Board
• Tweezers
• Small nail clippers
• Pony tail band and hair pins( I have always known them as Bobby Pins)

Next is the actual bag I chose and my eye products:

• The new makeup bag I chose is the bag that I received in my February 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag subscription. It is my favorite so far, it is pink with pink leopard print on the inside. • Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil (it has a little brush/spoolie built onto the cap)
• Two Faced Lava Gloss eyeliner pencil in Black
• Cover Girl eye pencil in Espresso Brown
• A small pencil sharpener
• Travel size of Benefit They’re Real Mascara in Black

Last but not least is the lip, face and body products:

• I carry whatever lip liner and lipstick I used that morning when applying my makeup. In the picture above is my MAC lipstick in the color Snob and the MAC lip liner in the color Beet.
• I keep the Soft Lips light pink/clear lip gloss along with the Merle Norman Lip Polish in Mademoiselle and just a plain Ulta lip balm in my bag all the time.
•  I chose to keep the L’Oreal True Match Powder in my makeup bag because it is small, plus on its bottom it has a built in mirror and sponge.
• For now I have chosen to keep the small bottle of the Clean perfume in Warm Cotton. It has just a fresh and clean scent.
