My Avon Haul and First Impressions for February 2014!

Avon Haul Feb 2014

Hi!Beauties! Today I want to share with you my February 2014 Avon haul and my first impressions. I was at a hair salon waiting for my husband to have his hair cut when I seen an Avon book, so I decided to take a look. I had heard Emily on Beauty Broadcast mention some products she had purchased from Avon so I was intrigued. Another random fact about me, I use to sell Avon many years ago. Long story short, I called the number on back of book and within a couple of days, the sweetest young lady was at my house. I got to visit and shop through 3 books. The above picture shows the products that I purchased. I want to mention three of the products that I do not have a swatch to show you but are in the above picture. First, the Avon Elements Moisture Boost Daily Moisture Lotion with SPF 15. It comes in a container with a pump that locks so it will be travel friendly, the SPF 15 will be much needed in the upcoming Texas months. It is a light weight moisturizer that does have a nice floral scent. I have used it for about a week now and it hasn’t broke me out. The product didn’t just blow me away but it is not a bad product. It cost me $6.99. Will I repurchase? Probably not, unless it goes on really good sale where the price is under the already sale price that I paid. Second, the Avon Moisture Effective Eye Makeup Remover Lotion. This was and is one of my favorite eye make up  removers, it reminds me of a white version of the blue eye makeup remover lotion that Make Up For Ever sales. The only difference I can tell is that I got the Avon one for .99 cents for 2 fl. ounces (on sale) regular price is $4.00 and the Make Up For Ever one cost $10 for 1.01 fl ounces.  Will I repurchase, for sure yes. Third, the  new Beyond Color Lip Conditioner. It is as pictured above just a nude color lip conditioner that goes on your lips with no color but GIRLS!!! it makes your lips so smooth and soft. I am loving it. I got it for $3.99 on sale, the regular price is going to be $8.00. Will I repurchase? Oh! yes I will. Now own to the other products. As with all the pictures in this article, if you need a closer look just click the picture.

Avon's magiX Face Perfector

I swatched both the the Avon MagiX Face Perfector with SPF 20(white) and The Benefit’s POREfessional (beige) above so you can see that while the colors are different the consistency of these two products seem very close. I am going to have to do further testing to let you know if the Avon’s face primer is going to be a dupe for the Benefit’s face primer. I can tell you that they both go on your skin clear. The cost of the Avon MagiX Face Perfector  was $7.99 for 1 fl. ounce on sale, the regular price is $10. The Benefit POREfessional for .75 fl. ounces is $30.00. Let me know below if you want me to do a more in depth war between both of these products. They both claim to reduce the appearance of your pores.

Avon's Eye Products Swatches Feb 2014

Pictured above is swatches of the eye products I purchased. The first one is the Avon Glimmersticks Waterproof Eye Liner in Copper and the second swatch is one of same eye liners but in Midnight Blue. I have to use these more to give you a more in depth opinion. I did find that after the swatches had set on the my arm I had to use a makeup remover to get them off. I got these two Glimmersticks eye liners along with two of the Glimmerstick lip liners for $10.99 on sale, for all four products. They are each regular $7.00 each. The last two swatches is of the Avon Extra Lasting Cream Eye Shadow Pencils (retractable). I had heard a review from Emily from Beauty Broadcast review these and say how smudge proof they were and how good of an eye shadow they were to wear alone or as an eye shadow base. As seen above I got two of them, Shimmering sand and Amethyst and it is so true these pencils are very long lasting and smudge proof and does not crease. I paid $8.50 for one of them and got one for .99 cents on sale. They are regular $8.50 each. Would I repurchase or purchase more colors? I will as long as they are on sale. I would not pay full price for them, only because there is other products in drugstore that compare and that are less expensive if these products are not on sale.

Avon's Lip Wear Swatches Feb 2014

The final products I purchased was these lip products. The first swatch is that of the new Beyond Color line in Divine Wine and I usually don’t go this bold due to as you already know I am a pink/rose/coral kind of girl. I am so glad I took the chance on this color because I love it and it is a long lasting lipstick. I paid $3.99 on sale, the regular price will be $8.00. Yes, this is the same line that the lip conditioner that I am also loving comes from. Next swatch is of the Ultra Glazewear Lip Gloss in the color Fuchsia Frenzy. Sadly, I was not that impressed with this lip gloss because I was expecting by color chart a more opaque or for it to at least go on to my lips as a darker color. To me it did not have any color payoff. I will be using this over some of my lipsticks to add some shine. I paid $2.99 for this on sale, regular price is $6.00. Next two swatches is from the Avon’s Glimmersticks Lip Liner in the colors, True Red and Perfect Plum. So far, I am enjoying these lip liners. These are the two I mentioned above that I got along with the two Glimmersticks eye shadow pencils all for $10.99.  They are regular priced at $7.00 each. Would I repurchase these lip products or even more colors of these products? The results are mixed. The Beyond Color line of lip products, yes I would for sure purchase more colors and definitely will repurchase the lip conditioner. The Ultra Glazewear Lip Gloss, no I will not repurchase this product. The Glimmersticks lip liners, yes I would repurchase and even purchase more colors as long as they are on sale but not at full price.

I hope you have enjoyed my February 2014 Avon haul. For your convenience, I am going to give you the link to this sweet young lady’s Avon website: http://www.youravon.com/ajackson5423. I had kind of forgotten about Avon until I seen Emily from Beauty Broadcast mention it and then I seen the book at my local hair salon. I believe as with any product line there are hits and misses with their products. Avon does have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if you do purchase something that you do not like they will refund your money.
