Lorac Pro Eye Shadow Palette

Lorac Pro PaletteThe Lorac Pro eye shadow palette has to be my favorite high end palette. The shadows are so buttery, velvety and pigmented. They blend beautifully. It contains 16 shadows. The top 8 are all matte shades, which are wonderful for transition, crease or outer V color and 2 great brow highlight colors. The bottom row has 8 beautiful satin/shimmery colors. I wish my picture did justice to these colors. I got mine from Sephora for $42. You can also get this from Ulta for same price. I will say it took me a while to find it in stock so you might want to order it online. If you chose to order online I have a link on my side bar to Ebates, if you use this link , you can earn cash back. It is very easy;  just create an account (does not require any financial information) then just chose your store and it will take you to your store’s website to place your order. Then, every quarter you get a check in the mail from Ebates for the cash back you have earned. Below, I am going to show you swatches below and tell you the colors.  Please keep in mind I am new at this so my pictures may not do these colors justice.

Lorac Pro Top Row Matte Colors

The top row of matte shadows, from your left to right: White, Cream, Taupe, Lt. Pink, Mauve, Sable, Espresso and Black. These swatches are without using a primer and one swipe.

Lorac Pro Bottom Row Shimmery Shades

The bottom row of satin/shimmery shadows, from your left to right: Nude, Champagne, Gold, Lt. Bronze, Pewter, Garnet, Deep Purple and Slate. Again, these swatches are without a primer and only one swipe.

Please leave me a comment below telling me if you have this palette and your favorite colors you use from it. Also, you can ask me any question you may have. I will reply as soon as I can. You can also click on any of the social media links to connect with me.

Daily Tid-Bits:

  • The creator of the Lorac line’s name is Carol, hence it is her name backwards. I thought this was interesting.
  • Made my own skinny version of a chicken and rice casserole today. I must say, it turned out yummy. Tell me in comments if you want me to post the recipe.

    Hi Beth,

Thanks for the great post. I don’t know if it’s my oily lids or what, but I’ve been having a hard time keeping the Lorac palette from creasing. I use the Nars eyeshadow base but it makes the eyelid surface too tacky, and impossible to blend things out well. Have you had any creasing issues with the Lorac Pro palette?

Also, I’m on the hunt for some better eyeshadow brushes. I have a few from Sonia Kashyuk but I’m not totally sold. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your time, big love from Canada!

    • Hi! Aja! Welcome! I don’t have the problem with the Lorac pro creasing. I have used the Mac”s Painterly paint pot,the Lorac behind the scenes eye primer that came with my Lorac Pro palette and even the ELF eye primer($1) and I have had no problems with creasing. I have never used the Nar’s one. Two faced makes a good one also called Two Faced Eye Insurance. If you have a Sephora where you live I suggest going there and they will give you free samples to try.
For the eyeshadow brushes, I just got the Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman “Your Eyes Enhanced Starter Set” ($17-18). I am loving them. You can find them at Ulta, some Targets or online through Ulta.com or I am sure Amazon has them. Sigma makes some too and I plan to eventually invest in them and try them but they are kinda expensive, the eye precise kit I want is $61. ELF’s eyeshadow brushes are $1-$3 and I have not had any problems with them, just make sure you have a fluffy blender brush. I do have an article coming out on my blog next Tuesday reviewing the Real Technique eye kit I have mentioned. Thank you for reading my article and I look forward to many more chats with you. Big love from USA

  • This is one palette that’s been on my wish list, I just can’t bring myself to spend the money. But the shadows look so pigmented and smooth. BTW I love Ebates!! I installed a browser extension so that it will remind me to use Ebates when I go online shopping.
Really interesting about Carol being spelled backwards! Never knew that!

    • Yes, this was my first big splurge! I held off and off and finally gave in and I am so proud I did. I know, Ebates is so easy to use and you make money by just shopping, who couldn’t love that…LOL. Thank you so much for taking time to read and give me feedback and tip about the browser extension, I will have to look into that.
